Abstract (English):
The diabetes is one of the most common endocrine pathologies whose complications result in early disability and mortality of the patients. In one of every four patients diabetic foot syndrome develops– foot skin defects connected with pathologies of the peripheral nervous system and diseases of arteries of the lower limbs. Anatomic features of the foot structure, micro-/macroangiopathy and perverse immune response result in a rapid spread of infection in patients with diabetes, which often requires surgical treatment, including the lower limb amputation

Keywords:
diabetes, diabetic foot syndrome, diseases of arteries of the lower limbs, lower limb amputation
