This material is dedicated to the analysis of the treatment outcomes in patients with abdominal sepsis resulting from a developed widespread purulent postoperative peritonitis. Vacuum-assisted closure of the postoperative laparotomy wound and negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) were used in the comprehensive therapy of patients for treatment and prevention of surgical infections
