Abstract:
The paper deals with the issues of the history of nuclear forensic examinations. It analyzes the adventure story «Victim of Radium» by legendary Russian detective A.F. Koshko based on the true events occurred in the spring – autumn 1913 in Pyatigorsk and connected with investigation of a theft of radioactive source and subsequent death of the 27-years old thief. Current scope of nuclear forensic examinations is briefly presented.
