METABOLIC SYNDROME AS A RISK FACTOR FOR COLORECTAL CANCER AND NEOPLASMS OF OTHER LOCALIZATION

Abstract:
Metabolic syndrome is one of the most urgent problems of modern medicine, it is related to maintaining an unhealthy lifestyle over a long time. Nowadays the metabolic syndrome is considered as a complex of metabolic, hormonal and clinic disorders which are risk factors for development of cardiovascular, endocrinological and oncological diseases. This paper presents a separate part of a retrospective cohort study of pathogenetic connection between malignant neoplasms, metabolic syndrome and its components in patients with abdominal obesity lasting over 10 years. Cases of Internal diseases colorectal cancer development and their outcomes depending on dynamics of the metabolic syndrome components are also examined.
