THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL BLOCK OF THE LATERAL CUTANEOUS NERVE IN THE HIP WHEN USING JUXTACAPSULAR BLOCK OF A NERVE GROUP AFTER THE HIP JOINT REPLACEMENT
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The hip joint replacement is a «gold standard» of the surgical treatment of coxarthrosis. It allows the patients to get rid of the pain syndrome, increases mobility and thus improves the quality of life. Improvement of the perioperative management of anesthesia based on the principles of accelerated recovery can significantly improve the results of anesthesia, early motor activity of the patients and reduce the incidence of complications. The accelerated recovery program is specially focused on the use of the regional anesthesia techniques.

Keywords:
juxtacapsular block, lateral cutaneous nerve in the hip, hip joint replacement, accelerated recovery
