HEALTHY LIFESTYLE SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR THE MEDICAL STUDENTS ON THE BASIS OF THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION’S CONCEPT «HEALTHY UNIVERSITY»

Abstract:
«Healthy University» concept developed by the World Health Organization is based on three pillars: creation of healthy environment, development of healthy lifestyle habits and active participation of the community. The study was conducted at the Sechenov University – leading institution of medical education in Russia. The research methodology includes comparative analysis of the University’s regulating documents in accordance with the basic provisions of the WHO’s concept «Healthy University» as well as assessment of conformity and defining the opportunities for development and improving efficiency of the implemented programs.
